Spanish recipes have their fans spread all over the world. From USA to India, and from Cape Town to London, the entire world likes Spanish Tortillas. Spanish recipes are easy to make and extremely delicious. My personal favorite Spanish recipe is Tortilla de Patatas. Spanish recipes are not limited to just general snack but their desserts are also equally delicious. After all where do you expect to find a white chocolate mousse? But on almost every website relating to Spanish recipes, you'll definitely find it there. The various Spanish desserts include cinnamon ice cream, churros with hot chocolate, brandy truffles, pears immersed in red wine, tiramisu, lemon sorbet, cappuccino cakes, almond cakes and many more such mouth watering recipes. The best part about most of the Spanish recipes including desserts is that they are very easy to cook and also don't need much time. Though, if you ever visit Spain, you'll find that most Spaniards will prefer to eat a fruit after their meal instead of any dessert unlike other countries. That is why most of their desserts contain raw fruits dipped in some drink. An example of this kind of dessert is pears immersed in wine. The irony of the situation here is that though Spanish pastries are very delicious, they generally eat it as breakfast instead of as desserts!!! Well now let's get beyond the Spanish recipes for desserts. Let us discuss one of the most popular and most widely eaten Spanish dishes, Tortillas. Tortillas are just like a cake of fried potatoes mixed with fried eggs and onions. For making this mouth watering Spanish recipe you need to have a cup of olive oil, 4 peeled and cut into French fried shaped wedges, thinly sliced onions, and four eggs. Now let us get started on the preparation of this mouth watering Spanish recipe which is actually a Spanish version of French fries. Put the potatoes into olive oil at medium heat. The amount of potatoes should be that they form just one layer in the oil. Now place a layer of thinly sliced potatoes on top and likewise keep on adding potatoes and onions in layers. Keep them in oil till the potatoes are soft, though all this while keep a check on the potatoes so that they don't stick together in the oil. Now take the potatoes and onions out of the oil and let the oil drip. In the meanwhile take 4 eggs and beat them in a big bowl. Now add the fried potatoes and make sure that they are completely dipped in beaten eggs. Now again take about a couple of tablespoonfuls of olive oil and heat it. Add the egg-potato mixture quickly and keep tossing to make sure they don't stick to the sides. Let the egg coating take light brown color. The best Spanish recipe is all yours.
